Zgarda

Zgarda is a real gem in the mountains that exceeded all my expectations! This three-star hotel is located on Mykhaila Hrushevskoho Street in the heart of Vorokhta, and I can say it’s hard to imagine a better place for a mountain getaway. When I arrived there in autumn, the leaves were already turning golden, and the air was so clean I wanted to breathe deeply for hours. The staff welcomed me very warmly — check-in took literally five minutes, and they immediately told me about all the interesting routes nearby.

The room was cozy and clean, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I especially loved the view from the window — real Carpathian landscapes that change depending on the weather and time of day. In the mornings, mist gently wraps around the mountains, and in the evenings, the sunsets are simply incredible. As for practical matters: parking is free (which is rare in such places!), Wi-Fi works stably, there’s always enough hot water. Sound insulation is decent, though sometimes you can hear neighbors returning from hikes — but this rather adds to the atmosphere than disturbs.

Breakfasts here are homemade and hearty — exactly what you need before a long day in nature. The hosts are happy to advise where to go, what to see, and can even help organize excursions. In winter it’s especially cozy here, with facilities to dry ski equipment, and in summer there’s a wonderful terrace for evening gatherings. From the hotel, it’s easy to reach Vorokhta’s main attractions on foot, and if you’re planning to travel further around the region — the location is perfect. I’ll definitely return here again, and I recommend it to you too!
