Gostynniy Dvir Raytshtoky turned out to be a real gem during my trip to the Carpathians last autumn. Located right on Bogdana Khmelnickogo street, this three-star establishment has that special homey atmosphere that’s so hard to find in hotels. The owners are very friendly people who told me about tons of interesting hiking spots around Vorokhta. Parking is free right by the house, which is especially convenient if you’re driving your own car (like I was).
The rooms are simple but cozy — wooden furniture, clean bedding and towels, everything you need for a comfortable rest after a full day in the fresh air. I loved that the windows face the mountains, and in the morning you can admire the fog slowly dispersing over the peaks. Wi-Fi works fine, though it can hang sometimes — but honestly, that’s even for the better, since you come here precisely to disconnect from city hustle and bustle. Breakfast is included in the room rate: homemade cheese pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh vegetables from their own garden — nothing fancy, but very tasty.
What I particularly remember is the location. It’s literally a 10-minute walk to the train station, and you can get to the Bukovel ski lift in half an hour. It’s quiet in the evenings (neighbors don’t make noise), so I always sleep perfectly. In winter, it’s probably even better here — I can imagine how magical the house looks in the snow. For this price and with an 8.0 rating, it’s really a good option for those looking not for luxury, but for authenticity and good value for money.
