U Odesyta
Just got back from U Odesyta in Vorokhta — and I can say it’s truly a cozy spot for a mountain getaway. This three-star hotel is located on a quiet street, but still just a 10-minute walk to the Bukovel lift. Parking is free right at the hotel (which is really important during ski season), and check-in was quick — the hosts are very friendly and always ready to suggest hiking routes.
The rooms are simple but clean and warm — in winter that’s what matters most after a day on the slopes. I had a standard room with mountain views, nothing extraordinary, but everything you need is there: decent bed, small TV, shower with hot water (which worked reliably even in the morning when everyone’s getting ready for the lifts). Breakfasts are homemade — borscht, varenyky, syrnyky, porridge. Nothing fancy, but hearty and tasty, especially after a morning walk in the crisp air.
What I especially liked — the hotel operates year-round, and the hosts know all the local secrets: where the best mushroom spots are in autumn, when the daffodils bloom in spring at Daffodil Valley, which trails are least crowded in summer. In winter it’s convenient — you can leave skis in the hallway, there’s a boot dryer. Summer is great for hiking: 20 minutes walk to Probiy waterfall, close to the cable car too. The only downside — walls are a bit thin, so if neighbors are loud, it can get noisy. But for the money (especially outside peak season) it’s a great option for an active vacation in the Carpathians.
Bukovel hotels range from luxurious mountain resorts to cozy lodges with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows.
