Guest house М turned out to be a real gem during my autumn trip to the Carpathians. Located on Dovbusha Street, 5, this three-star establishment sits right in the heart of Vorokhta, literally just a few minutes’ walk from the train station — very convenient if you’re arriving by train like I did. The owners are very welcoming and always ready to recommend the best hiking routes or where to try authentic Hutsul cuisine. There’s parking available, though spots aren’t abundant, so it’s better to let them know in advance if you’re coming by car.
The rooms are simple but cozy — everything you need is there, including good Wi-Fi (which was important for me since I had to work remotely). Hot water is constant, heating works well, which is especially important during chilly Carpathian evenings. Breakfasts are homemade, nothing extraordinary but tasty — they often serve cottage cheese pancakes or omelets with local ingredients. The only thing to keep in mind — the walls are quite thin, so if your neighbors like to get up early or talk late, you might hear it (but this is typical for many small guest houses).
The location is truly perfect for exploring the region. You can reach the Bukovel ski lift in 30 minutes by car, and it’s about an hour’s leisurely walk through picturesque forest to Probiy waterfall. The hosts also arrange transfers to popular tourist spots for a small additional fee. For this price and with an 8.0 rating — it’s really a good option for those looking for budget-friendly but comfortable accommodation in Vorokhta. I would definitely come back here again, especially in winter to ski nearby.
Hotels in the Carpathians provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Hutsul crafts and experience daily life in historic mountain villages.
