Шпінь 3 turned out to be a pleasant find in Vorokhta — a three-star hotel that really knows what travelers need in the Carpathians. Located on Dovbush Street, it’s close enough to the village center to quickly reach cafes and shops, yet in a quiet spot (which you really notice in the evenings when you just want to rest after hiking). The staff is very friendly — the reception always suggests where to go hiking in the mountains or where to buy the freshest Hutsul cheeses. Parking is free, which is very convenient during peak season since finding a parking spot in Vorokhta can be tricky.

The rooms are clean and cozy, though without any special frills — exactly what you need after a full day of fresh mountain air. Breakfasts are tasty and hearty (definitely try their pancakes with local honey), and there’s always hot water in the shower, which is simply a lifesaver after mountain hikes. Winter here is wonderful — the ski lifts are nearby, and in the evenings you can sit in the lobby by the fireplace with a cup of hot tea. Summer is great too: you wake up to birdsong instead of city noise, and immediately want to go explore the trails around. On the downside — Wi-Fi sometimes acts up (especially during rain), but honestly, that’s actually good for a digital detox. Hotel Шпінь 3 is that perfect middle ground between comfort and authentic mountain vacation, the kind of place you want to return to.
