Just got back from Bukovets’ in Yaremche, and I can say it’s truly a cozy spot for a mountain getaway. This three-star hotel is located on O.Tykhogo street, a bit away from the main tourist hustle, which actually turned out to be a big plus. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though don’t expect luxurious design — it’s more of a homey atmosphere with wooden furniture and warm colors. From our room window, we had a wonderful view of the Carpathian slopes, especially in the morning when fog slowly rises from the valley.
The staff here is genuinely friendly — at reception they’ll always help with routes to waterfalls or recommend where to eat best in Yaremche. Breakfasts are quite decent (especially the syrniki!), though the menu could be a bit more varied. Parking is free right by the hotel, which is very convenient if you’re driving. The only thing that was a bit bothersome — sometimes you can hear noise from neighboring rooms, the walls aren’t very thick. But overall, for the money Bukovets’ gives a good balance of comfort and location — about 10 minutes walk to Yaremche center, and even closer to the main tourist trails. I’ll definitely return here in autumn when the mountains turn golden-red.
