Cottage Zelman turned out to be a real gem for our Carpathian trip! Located on Svobody Street, this three-star hotel has all the advantages of a peaceful location — away from the hustle and bustle of Yaremche center, yet you can walk to the main tourist spots in 10-15 minutes. Parking is free right next to the building, which is very convenient, especially if you’re arriving by car (and most guests do exactly that). Check-in was quick, though the reception doesn’t work around the clock — better to give them a heads up about your arrival time.
The rooms are quite cozy, with wooden decor elements that add authentic Carpathian charm. Wifi works reliably, which was a pleasant surprise for such a place. Breakfast is served in a small dining room — nothing extraordinary, but tasty and filling before mountain hikes. Our room had a wonderful forest view from the windows, especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn golden. The only thing that was slightly annoying — the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear neighbors if they’re too active in the evening.
What I particularly liked was the location for hiking. It’s literally a 20-minute walk to Probiy waterfall, and if you want to conquer Hoverla or other peaks, it’s convenient to start from here. The staff is very friendly and always suggests the best routes depending on the weather (and it’s changeable here, especially in winter). Overall, for the money — excellent value for a family mountain getaway.
