Azaliya turned out to be a real gem during our trip to Transcarpathia! This three-star hotel is located in the picturesque village of Lazeshchyna, and I can say that it’s hard to imagine a better place for a peaceful getaway. When we arrived in the evening, the staff welcomed us very warmly — check-in went smoothly, although reception doesn’t operate 24/7 (better to arrive before 10 PM). Parking is free right at the hotel, which is very convenient, especially if you’re driving your own car through the mountains.
The rooms at Azaliya are clean and cozy, with everything needed for comfortable accommodation. The view from the window of Lazeshchyna’s surroundings is simply incredible — green hills, forests, and in the morning fog beautifully descends along the slopes. WiFi works stably even in the rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfasts are homemade and hearty — local products, fresh vegetables from the garden, delicious pancakes. The hosts are very friendly and always ready to suggest where to go on an excursion or where to taste authentic Transcarpathian cuisine.
What I particularly liked was the silence at night (no noise from roads or neighbors) and proximity to natural attractions. You can reach the nearest thermal springs in 20 minutes by car, and hiking trails start practically from the hotel’s doorstep. In summer it’s perfect for hiking, and in autumn — for mushroom and berry picking. Overall, Azaliya is the kind of place you want to return to again and again, especially if you love quiet nature retreats away from city hustle and bustle.
