Знакова Хата

When I was looking for a place to stay in Grebenov, Знакова Хата immediately caught my attention with its name — and we weren’t wrong with our choice! This three-star hotel on Shevchenko Street, 87 turned out to be a real gem. The staff here works with soul, check-in went quickly without any queues (I arrived around 2:30 PM), and the room turned out to be much cozier than I expected from the photos on the website.

I was particularly impressed by how thoughtfully everything is planned down to the smallest details. Parking is free right next to the hotel — for travelers by car, this is gold! Breakfast is served until 10 AM, and although the menu isn’t very diverse, everything is fresh and tasty. Actually, it was here that I first tried local potato pancakes made from grandmother’s recipe — the hosts happily share stories about Grebenov’s traditions. The only downside — you can hear the road a bit in the morning (rooms face Shevchenko Street), but it’s quiet in the evening, so nothing disturbs your sleep.

Overall, for this price it was the perfect ratio of quality and comfort. The hotel is clearly maintained with love — everything is clean, the furniture may be simple but it’s solid, and the atmosphere is homey and warm. If you’re planning to stay in this part of Ukraine for a few days, I recommend it without hesitation. By the way, the owners don’t speak English, but communicating in Ukrainian or Russian is easy, and most importantly — they sincerely want their guests to feel good.
