Zillya Club turned out to be a pleasant surprise during our Carpathian trip. Located right in the center of Tatariv, this four-star hotel really met our expectations — especially after the long drive from Kyiv. Parking is free (which is rare for popular ski resorts), and we easily left our car right by the entrance. Check-in went smoothly, though the receptionist warned that during January-February it’s better to book in advance — everyone comes here to ski at Bukovel.
The rooms are quite spacious, with nice mountain views — the morning panorama is truly impressive, especially when the snow is fresh. Wi-Fi works reliably (we tested it — Zoom calls went through without issues), hot water is constant, which is important after a day on the slopes. The only thing that was slightly annoying — the walls aren’t the thickest, so if neighbors return late from Bukovel, you can hear conversations in the hallway. But it’s not critical, especially if you’re also planning an active vacation and go to bed early.
Breakfast is decent (buffet with local dishes), though the selection isn’t huge — but for Tatariv it’s quite respectable. The staff is friendly, speaks basic English. It’s about 15 minutes by car to Bukovel lifts, a bit far on foot, but taxis are inexpensive. In winter the hotel operates at full capacity, in summer they also welcome guests — they say May through September is wonderful here for hiking. For this price (especially off-season), Zillya Club is a solid option for a Carpathian getaway, I recommend it.
