You know what struck me first about Pensjonat Telimena? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it’s tucked into this valley setting that feels almost literary, like something out of the Polish classics. I mean, Droga do Białego isn’t exactly a main street address, but that’s the whole point. You’re staying somewhere that feels deliberately removed from Zakopane’s touristy chaos, yet you can still walk to the center when you want pierogi and people-watching.
The place has this lived-in charm that’s hard to fake – honestly, it reminds me of staying at someone’s mountain cottage if their cottage happened to have proper hotel amenities. The rooms are simple but thoughtfully done, with those heavy wooden elements you expect in the Tatras but without feeling like you’re trapped in a folk museum. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. The location on Droga do Białego means you’re buffered from the late-night revelers stumbling back from the bars on Krupówki, but you’re not so far out that you need to plan every trip into town like an expedition.
The 8-rating makes total sense to me – this isn’t trying to be luxury, and it doesn’t need to be. It’s doing exactly what a good three-star pensjonat should do: giving you a comfortable base that connects you to the mountains without breaking the bank or overwhelming you with unnecessary fuss. The owners clearly know their guests are here for hiking, skiing, or just breathing mountain air, not lounging by some fancy pool. I’d say it hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’ve discovered something authentic rather than just booking another generic hotel room. Plus – and this matters if you’re driving – parking isn’t the nightmare it can be closer to the center. Sometimes the simple things make all the difference when you’re trying to actually relax on vacation.

Breakfast was continental mainly, but ample. Beds were comfortable and room was warm. Bath was welcomed and hot water every day. Free small pool and sauna at the next door guesthouse and free passes to Termy Zakopane was great! Parking available.

Price/ Value ratio is super, I liked the free tickets to the Termy Thermal Spa, and the city center is only 15 minutes by walking. Breakfast is delicious, and also the hotel Spa is very good.
Children play room is super cool, and the opportunity to rent sleighs for free of charge.
Car parking is also free what is very rare at Zakopane!

Everything was good. Breakfast is buffet type, varied food, delicious. Easy parking, a lot of spots are available. The pool in the building of Bialy Potok, it is small, but there are also a jacuzzi and a sauna. They also give free ticket for 1 entry (full day, without time limits) to Aquapark for all guests.
