Затишний будиночок біля річки turned out to be a real gem for our week-long vacation in the Carpathians. Located on Zarichchia Avenue in Krivorovnya, this three-star hotel truly lives up to its name — we fell asleep to the gentle murmur of the river flowing literally 50 meters from the building. Parking is free right at the entrance (a rarity in these parts!), and check-in is quick — the hostess Oksana greeted us with homemade pastries and told us about all the interesting routes in the area.
The rooms are small but thoughtfully designed: locally-made wooden furniture, warm rugs on the floor (especially relevant in winter), and most importantly — panoramic windows with forest views. Soundproofing is good, the only thing you can hear are natural sounds. WiFi works stably even on the third floor, which was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom always had hot water, and towels were changed every other day without reminders.
Breakfasts here are homemade — borscht, varenyky, baked trout from a local farm, everything fresh and delicious. If you’re planning hiking trips (which you absolutely must do in this area!), they’ll pack you a lunch box. The 8.0 rating doesn’t seem inflated at all — for this price and in such a picturesque location, it’s really a great choice. The only downside: mobile reception here is unstable, but honestly, that’s more of a plus for a complete break from city hustle and bustle.
