Zatin Overview

Zatin turned out to be a real find during our trip to the Carpathians — a three-star hotel located right on Svobody Street in Yaremche. When we arrived late in the evening after a long drive from Kyiv, the staff was still waiting for us with smiles, even though check-in officially ended at 10 PM. Parking is a separate story: there’s a small lot near the hotel, but in summer it’s better to arrive early because there are never enough spaces (we parked on a neighboring street, no big deal). The rooms are quite cozy, though a bit old-fashioned — furniture from the 90s, but everything is clean and works. What impressed me most was the view from the third-floor window: the morning Carpathians in fog are simply incredible, especially in autumn.

The breakfasts here are homemade, not a buffet — the hostesses prepare borscht, potato dumplings with sour cream, fresh cheese pancakes. For an additional fee (about 150 hryvnias) you can order dinner — I recommend banosh with mushrooms, it’s something special. The hotel is located in the center of Yaremche, so it’s a 15-minute walk to Probiy waterfall, and even closer to the cable car. The only downside — the walls are thin, so if neighbors are noisy, it can be a bit loud (especially on weekends when big groups arrive). In winter it’s warm here — the heating works well, but hot water is sometimes only available in the morning and evening. For this price (around 800 hryvnias per night) it’s a wonderful option for a family vacation, especially if you plan to spend more time outdoors rather than in the room.

Everything was excellent. Room was very clean and disinfected. Beautiful and picturesque view from the room, nice territory, free large parking, quite place for family vacation. The owners of the hotel are nice and pleasant, recommended a lot of beautiful place situated near the city with locations on google maps, always were worried about our comfort during our stay in the hotel, gave recommendations where to eat tasty food. Breakfast can be order by additional price, there are no many positions but everything is really tasty and nicely served. If you don't have a car there is a possibility to have some jeep-tours and there are also a lot of beautiful places you can visit in Yaremche or near it. Thanks a lot for a great vacation!

Our hosts Petro and Nadiya were charming, helpful, and made us feel very welcome and at ease. Also, a definite highlight were the superb breakfasts prepared by Nadiya. We'll remember them for a long time!

Other pluses, among many: the chalet is beautiful, warm, and very tastefully decorated and arranged. Everything was perfectly clean and neat, we had everything we needed and were comfortable 100% of the time we spent there. We enjoyed using the sauna, lighting up the fireplace, and even cooking sausages on the barbecue grill outside. And finally, we were in a great location just outside of Yaremche and close to one of the trails leading to Makovitsya.

Very grateful for this memorable first experience of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Will definitely be back.

Приїхали о 7 ранку, до заселення часу було ще багато, власники приїхали (200грн) забрали з вокзалу наші речі до готелю, суперово, була можливість погуляти і не думати за валізи.
Поруч у сусідів є чан. В річці можна полежати під течією, місцями є глубина майже по пояс.
З задоволенням приїду сюди ще!
