After spending the day hiking around Kasprowy Wierch (or let’s be honest, just wandering around the markets buying way too much oscypek cheese), having your own private sauna feels like such a luxury. The whole place has this modern mountain lodge aesthetic – think clean lines but with enough wood accents that you still feel like you’re in the Tatras. The rooms are spacious in that way that makes you realize how cramped most European hotels actually are, and I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the folk art that’s everywhere else in Zakopane. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet after dark, though you’ll hear the occasional horse-drawn carriage clip-clopping down the street, which is either charming or mildly annoying depending on your jetlag situation. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Zakopane during peak season will tell you is not something to take for granted. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend more time actually relaxing instead of just using the room as a base camp for day trips to Morskie Oko or wherever.
