You know what hit me first about Zakolove 3? It’s tucked away on Goszczyńskiego street in this quiet residential pocket that most tourists completely miss – and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. I mean, you’re still walking distance from Krupówki (Zakopane’s main tourist strip), but you get to escape back to this peaceful little corner where locals actually live. The building itself has that clean, modern mountain lodge feel without trying too hard to be rustic.
The apartment – because that’s really what this is, a proper apartment rental – sits on the second floor and actually feels like someone’s well-designed home rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen is fully equipped (I’m talking real cookware, not those flimsy tourist rental pans), which turned out to be perfect since we grabbed fresh oscypek cheese and local bread from the market down the hill. The living area opens up nicely, and you can catch glimpses of the Tatras from the windows if you crane your neck just right. What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night – none of that party noise you deal with closer to the center, just the occasional sound of someone walking their dog or coming home late. The WiFi actually works well too, which… let’s be honest, isn’t always guaranteed in these mountain towns.
Here’s the thing about staying here though – you’ll want a car or don’t mind a 10-15 minute walk into town. It’s not a dealbreaker at all (actually, I kind of enjoyed the little ritual of walking down Goszczyńskiego past all these charming houses), but if you’re expecting to stumble out your door onto restaurant row, this isn’t that place. The owner was incredibly responsive when we had a tiny issue with the heating remote – showed up within an hour with a replacement and even recommended this little family-run restaurant called Karczma that we never would’ve found otherwise. The whole experience just felt more… real, I guess? Like you’re actually staying in Zakopane rather than some tourist bubble. Plus, parking is included right there on the property, which if you’ve ever tried to find parking near Krupówki in summer, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold. The 9-star rating makes total sense – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything works exactly as it should, it’s spotlessly clean, and the location gives you the best of both worlds.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
