“Як вдома” Буковель is one of those cases where the hotel name perfectly matches reality. The moment you step into this four-star place on Karpatska Street, you immediately feel a cozy homey atmosphere. The staff here is genuinely friendly (not that formal smile from other places), and the lobby always smells of freshly brewed coffee. The rooms are spacious with great mountain views — especially in the morning when the sun lights up the snowy slopes. Parking is free, which is rare in Bukovel, but spots sometimes run out, so it’s better to arrive before evening.
The location is simply perfect for skiers — about five minutes’ walk to the lifts, and you don’t get tired even with all your gear. In summer, it’s convenient to start hiking trails into the mountains from here, though the hotel is more oriented toward winter season (you can feel it). Breakfasts are tasty, especially the local syrniki and homemade jams, though the selection isn’t huge. The restaurant cooks well, prices are reasonable for a resort. One downside — the walls aren’t the thickest, so if neighbors are noisy, it can get loud. But overall, this is a place you want to return to, especially when you need a vacation without unnecessary pretense, but with proper comfort.
WiFi works reliably (important for those who can’t completely disconnect from work), hot water is always available, and winter heating is powerful — after a whole day in the cold, it’s real happiness. I recommend booking in advance, especially for New Year holidays, because spots fill up quickly.
