What really sold me was pulling up and seeing actual parking spaces – and yeah, they’re really free, which is kind of miraculous in a mountain town where most places charge you for breathing. The cabins themselves have this authentic wooden feel, not the fake rustic stuff you see everywhere. When you step inside and see that fireplace, you immediately start planning cozy evenings even if it’s summer.

The playground thing might sound random, but it’s actually genius if you’re traveling with kids. Parents can sit on the little terrace with a beer while the kids burn off energy, and everyone’s happy. The whole setup feels more like a small neighborhood than a hotel complex – there’s maybe eight or ten cabins total, so you’re not dealing with crowds or long waits for anything. What impressed me most was how quiet it gets at night. You can actually hear the wind in the trees, which is pretty rare when you’re staying somewhere that’s still walkable to town. The fireplaces aren’t just for show either – they actually work well and there’s usually wood available, though I’d grab some extra from town if you’re planning serious cozy nights.
