Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Willa Maya on Skośna Street – it’s tucked into this quiet residential pocket of Karpacz that most tourists never really discover. You know how some places just feel right the moment you walk in? That’s exactly what happened here. The whole vibe is refreshingly unpretentious, which is actually pretty rare in a mountain town that can get overrun with flashy resort hotels.

What really gets me about this place is how the owners (and I’m pretty sure they’re hands-on owners, not some corporate chain) have managed to nail that sweet spot between cozy and polished. The rooms have this authentic mountain lodge feel without being kitschy about it – real wood touches, but not like you’re staying in someone’s hunting cabin from 1987. I mean, the 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there for a day or two. The breakfast situation alone is worth mentioning – they clearly source stuff locally, and you can actually taste the difference in everything from the bread to the preserves. Plus, parking is straightforward, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Karpacz during peak hiking season will appreciate.

The location is honestly brilliant if you know the area at all. Skośna Street keeps you away from the main tourist chaos around the market square, but you’re still close enough to walk to all the good restaurants and that famous wooden church everyone comes to see. What I love is that you can step out in the morning and hit the trails toward Śnieżka without dealing with crowds right away – there’s this network of paths that locals use that connects just a few blocks over. The evening vibe is perfect too; it gets properly quiet after the day-trippers head home, so you can actually hear the forest settling in around you. Look, I’ve stayed at probably a dozen places in the Karkonosze over the years, and Willa Maya is one of those rare finds that makes you want to book your next trip before you’ve even checked out. It’s the kind of place that gets mountain hospitality right without trying too hard to impress you.

Sehr sauberes , komfortables Zimmer. Bad neu. Ein Wasserkocher, Tassen und ein Paar Teller direkt im Zimmer, sehr aufmerksam. Möglichkeit eine Mahlzeit zuzubereiten im Gang. Sehr netter Eigentümer.
Da wir auf einer Durchreise waren, sind nur eine Nacht geblieben. Echt schade. Wir kommen aber gerne wieder.

Super, bardzo mili właściciele, przepiękny ogród do posiedzenia i dla dzieci. Blisko centrum a jednak cicho i spokojnie. W pokojach czysto do wieczornego posiedzenia taras i w telewizorze juz netflix więc można coś pooglądać. Jest również opcja wypożyczenia roweru więc naprawdę gorąco polecam i napewno wrócę

Ubytování bylo připravené, čisté. Velmi milý pan pronajímatel, který se vším poradil a byl na příjmu vždy, když bylo potřeba. I když byla venku zima, měli jsme příjemné teplé pohodlí uvnitř.
