It’s tucked away on Nad Łomnicą street, which is this quiet residential road that most tourists never find because they’re all rushing toward the main Karpacz strips. You know what though? That’s exactly why this place works.

The building itself has this authentic mountain villa vibe that feels like someone’s stylish grandmother decided to open her house to guests – I mean that in the best possible way. The owners clearly put thought into keeping the traditional Polish highland character while making it actually comfortable for modern travelers. My room had these thick wooden beams and windows that looked out toward the Śnieżka peak, and honestly, I spent way too much time just sitting there with my morning coffee watching the light change on the mountains. The floors creak a little when you walk around (it’s an old building, what do you expect?), but there’s something cozy about it rather than annoying. Parking was easy right on the property, which is huge if you’ve ever tried finding a spot in central Karpacz during ski season.

What really got me was how the staff actually knew the area – like, really knew it. When I asked about hiking trails, the woman at reception didn’t just hand me a generic map. She walked outside with me and pointed out the trailhead that starts literally five minutes from the hotel, then told me which route would be less crowded and where to stop for the best views. That kind of local knowledge is worth its weight in gold, especially in a place like Karpacz where half the information online is outdated or just plain wrong. The breakfast was this perfect mix of traditional Polish mountain food and lighter options – proper oscypek cheese, fresh bread that actually tasted like bread, and they even had some lighter fare for people who don’t want to feel stuffed before hiking. I’ll be honest, the coffee wasn’t spectacular, but it was perfectly drinkable and they kept it coming. The whole place just felt… authentic, I guess? Like it belonged in this landscape rather than being dropped in from some corporate hotel playbook. If you’re looking for a spa or fancy amenities, this isn’t your spot, but if you want somewhere that feels connected to the mountains and the local culture – somewhere the owners actually care about your experience rather than just processing you through – then yeah, Willa JANECZKA gets it right.
