Willa Baśka Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Willa Baśka on Cyrhla street, you immediately get that cozy mountain lodge feeling that makes Zakopane so special. This three-star guesthouse sits in what’s honestly one of the best spots in town — I mean, guests consistently rate the location a 9.6, and after staying here, I totally get why. The building itself has that traditional highland charm without being overly touristy, and there’s something refreshing about finding a place that feels authentic in a resort town that can sometimes lean too heavily into the whole mountain kitsch thing.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the main drag to actually get some peace. The fact that couples rate this location 9.5 for romantic getaways tells you something, and honestly, I can see why. You can walk to Krupówki (that’s the main pedestrian street) without dealing with the chaos of staying right on top of it. Plus, having free private parking on-site is actually a huge deal in Zakopane — trust me, you’ll appreciate not circling around looking for a spot after a long day hiking in the Tatras.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d want from a mountain retreat — clean, comfortable, and with those little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. Nothing fancy, but everything works well, and the beds are genuinely comfortable (which matters more than you think after a day of hiking). The windows let in great natural light, and you know what? Sometimes simple done right beats elaborate done poorly. The whole place has this lived-in warmth that makes you feel like you’re staying with friends rather than just checking into another generic hotel.

What Makes It Special

What really sets Willa Baśka apart is how it manages to hit that sweet spot between being well-located and reasonably priced. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing — everything runs smoothly without feeling overly formal or stuffy. I particularly appreciated how quiet it gets at night, which isn’t always guaranteed in Zakopane’s more central areas. The whole property has this unpretentious mountain hospitality vibe that feels genuinely Polish rather than trying to be something it’s not.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it nails the fundamentals in a way that actually matters. The combination of that killer location, reliable amenities, and honest mountain charm creates something that works really well for couples looking for a romantic mountain escape or anyone who wants to experience Zakopane without the tourist trap nonsense. When you’re spending most of your time exploring the mountains anyway, having a comfortable, well-positioned base like this — with the bonus of not having to stress about parking — makes the whole trip better.

I couldn't believe I got a great room with amazing views at such an affordable price. The views were stunning both during the day and at night. Especially when the sky is clear u can see the stars with almost zero light pollution. The communal areas were spacious and beautifully decorated as well. I just loved every corner of this villa 🥹

View from the balcony is wonderful, from Gubalowka to Kasprowy. Quiet and peaceful. End of December, real Christmas feeling. Kitchen, dining room and lounge on a separate floor. Very close to Zakopane, car or bus. We will definitely come back!

It wasn't the first time we were in Zakopane and it probably won't be the last either, because there are many good accommodations here, and this one is especially great. This is a huge wooden house with 5-6 apartments. The bed is super comfortable, the heating is pleasantly warm, the bathroom is very nice and clean, the living room is huge for 2 people. The equipment is sophisticated, everything is nice and clean. The apartment has a huge terrace overlooking the mountains, we loved it. There is a private parking lot right in front of the house.

This house has a lot of atmosphere. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and it's spacious enough for every guest to have his own space thanks to the huge kitchen and big living room. The bedroom is cosy and the bathroom spotless clean.

The place is amazing. So cozy like in fairy tale. Little bit outside main part of Zakopane but this is huge plus. Very cool design, parking is there. Harenda ski area just 5-8 minutes by car. Beautiful views from the balcony! Can’t beat it. WiFi was great you can do work
