The rooms have this authentic mountain villa feel with original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a century-old building, but the bathrooms are completely updated and the WiFi actually works (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always guaranteed in these historic places).

They serve it in what used to be the original dining room, with these tall windows looking out toward the Karkonosze peaks, and the whole setup feels more like you’re staying with well-traveled relatives than checking into a hotel. The spread changes based on what’s seasonal and local – I had some of the best regional cheese and honey I’ve tried in the Sudetes. Parking can get tight during peak hiking season (July and August especially), but there’s usually space on the street or they’ll point you toward a spot nearby.
