White House is a cozy three-star hotel in the picturesque урочище Красний area, near Synevyrsʼka Polyana. When I first came here last summer, I was pleasantly surprised by how organically this place fits into the mountain landscape. The hotel is located among pine forest, and the morning air here is incredibly fresh — a real treat after city hustle and bustle. Parking is free and quite spacious, which is important if you’re driving your own car (otherwise it’s hard to get here). Check-in goes smoothly, staff is friendly and always ready to suggest interesting routes around the area.
The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable — exactly what you need after a whole day of hiking in the mountains. Wi-Fi works stably even in the rooms, though sometimes the speed isn’t very high (but that’s normal for the mountains). The restaurant cooks delicious homemade cuisine with local products — definitely try the oven-baked lamb and homemade cheeses. The only downside — walls aren’t very thick, so if neighbors are noisy, it can be a bit loud in the evening. But in the morning you’ll be woken not by an alarm clock, but by birdsong.
It’s best to come here from May through October — in winter the road can be challenging due to snow. From the hotel it’s convenient to walk to Synevyr Lake (about 40 minutes on foot along a forest trail), and in summer you can rent bicycles. Overall, White House is an ideal place for those seeking peaceful rest in nature without excessive luxury, but with everything necessary for comfort. For the money (especially off-season) it’s a wonderful option.
