Weekend house turned out to be a real gem in Verkhovyna — a small three-star hotel that’s perfect for those seeking coziness in the Carpathians without unnecessary pretensions. Located on Karpatska Street, 5, it’s close enough to the town center to walk to shops and cafes, but far enough from the main road that there’s almost no noise. Free parking right at the entrance is a huge advantage, especially when you arrive with a trunk full of hiking gear.
The staff here is genuinely friendly, not just polite according to job requirements. At reception, they’re always ready to recommend a hiking route or suggest where to buy local products. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though the design is quite simple — nothing special, but everything you need is there. Hot water is always available, which isn’t always a given in mountain hotels. Breakfasts are homemade with local products — I especially loved the cheeses and honey. In winter, it’s particularly cozy here when there’s snow outside and it’s warm and peaceful inside.
The 8.0 rating is well deserved — Weekend house doesn’t pretend to be luxurious, but it does its job very well. This place is for those who value genuine hospitality and want to escape the city hustle. In summer, it’s convenient for hiking from here, and in winter you can simply enjoy the mountain air and beautiful views. I’ll definitely come back here again.
