Vysoké Tatry apartmán 310 Tatranská Lomnica – s balkónom – výhľad na Tatry
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of mountain places, but this apartment in Tatranská Lomnica really got it right. The moment you walk into apartmán 310, you’re hit with these massive windows that frame the High Tatras like they’re some kind of postcard – except you know, it’s actually real and you’re standing there in your pajamas drinking coffee looking at it. The balcony honestly makes the whole place, and I mean that. You’ll find yourself out there way more than you planned, even when it’s chilly, because those peaks just keep pulling your attention.
What I really appreciated was how they didn’t try to cram too much into the space. It’s got that clean, uncluttered feel that actually lets you relax instead of tripping over decorative nonsense. The kitchen’s properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer like some places. I actually cooked a few meals there because, well, the grocery situation in Lomnica is pretty decent and sometimes you just want to eat pasta while staring at mountains. The bed’s comfortable (firm, if that matters to you), and honestly the whole place stays surprisingly quiet considering you’re right in the village center. You can hear the cable car in the morning, but it’s more of a gentle hum than anything disruptive.
Here’s the thing about Tatranská Lomnica that makes this spot special – you’re literally walking distance from the cable car station that takes you up to Skalnaté pleso. I mean, you can see people heading up from your balcony. The village itself has this laid-back vibe that’s way less touristy than some of the other Tatra spots, but you’ve still got everything you need within a five-minute walk. There’s this little restaurant called Koliba that’s maybe 200 meters away where locals actually eat, not just tourists with guidebooks. The parking situation is straightforward too – there’s a spot included, which honestly saved me from the street parking puzzle that plagues half these mountain towns. Check-in was smooth, the host actually knows the area and gave me solid hiking recommendations, and the WiFi works properly if you need to convince your boss you’re still somewhat reachable. The only tiny thing I’d mention is that the shower pressure could be stronger, but honestly, after a day hiking around Štrbské pleso or dealing with the crowds at Popradské pleso, you’re just happy to have hot water and that view waiting for you.
