Just got back from VitaPark Stariy Dub, and I have to say — it was a pleasant surprise for a three-star hotel in Truskavets. Located on Drohobyts’ka Street 72, it’s a bit away from the central pump room area (about 15 minutes on foot), but that’s actually a plus — quieter, and parking isn’t a problem. Check-in went smoothly, staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English. Rooms are quite spacious, furniture isn’t new but everything’s clean and tidy. Wi-Fi works fine, air conditioning too — important in summer since the sun hits the south-facing windows directly.
Breakfasts are decent (buffet style), but don’t expect huge variety — standard fare: porridge, scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, jams. Coffee is so-so, better to head into town for the real stuff. The grounds are small but well-maintained, with gazebos for relaxing. No pool, but there’s a small spa complex — I didn’t use it, but people said it was fine. Main thing is the hotel’s quiet — even on weekends there wasn’t noise late into the night like at some other places in Truskavets. You do have to walk a bit to the mineral springs, but that’s good for digestion after treatments anyway. Overall, for the money VitaPark Stariy Dub is definitely worth considering — especially if you came primarily for the cure rather than entertainment.
Travelers should book a hotel in Bukovel at least two months ahead for major events such as ski competitions and mountain festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular mountain attractions.
