When I was looking for a place to stay in the Carpathians, VitaPark Poliana caught my attention with its location and promises of good service. This four-star hotel really lived up to expectations — though with a few nuances worth knowing about. Located on Evropeyskaya Street, it’s quite convenient for exploring Polyana and the surrounding areas, although you’ll need to walk a bit to reach the center (about 10-15 minutes at a leisurely pace). Parking is free, which was a pleasant surprise — there were always enough spots, even on weekends.
The rooms are quite spacious and tidy, with nice mountain views (if you’re lucky enough to get the right side of the building). The staff is friendly and ready to help, though not everyone speaks English — but that’s more a regional characteristic than a hotel shortcoming. Breakfast is decent, traditional Ukrainian cuisine with some European options, though the menu could be a bit more varied. One downside — the walls aren’t very soundproofed, so if you have noisy neighbors, it can be uncomfortable (I was lucky with quiet ones).
Wi-Fi works reliably in the lobby and most rooms, which is important for those who can’t completely disconnect from work. Overall, the hotel leaves a pleasant impression — it’s not a luxury resort, but for its price it offers honest service and a good base for exploring the Carpathians. The 8.0 rating seems fair — a solid four-star without any particular frills, but with everything needed for a comfortable vacation.
Travelers should book a hotel in Bukovel at least two months ahead for major events such as ski competitions and mountain festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular mountain attractions.
