VitaPark Carpaty turned out to be a pleasant surprise for our family during our trip to Transcarpathia. Located on Shevchenka Street in Zhdenievo, this four-star hotel truly lives up to its name — surrounded by genuine Carpathian landscapes, and the air is so fresh you want to breathe deeply. The staff is very friendly, check-in went smoothly (even a bit earlier than official time), and you immediately feel that they care about their guests. The rooms are spacious and clean, with decent mountain views — especially beautiful in the morning when fog slowly disperses over the peaks.
What I particularly enjoyed was the hotel restaurant, where they prepare authentic Transcarpathian dishes. Definitely try the local banosh and homemade sausages (portions are substantial, I’m warning you!). Parking is free, there are always enough spaces, which is important if you’re traveling by car. The only downside — sometimes you can hear trains passing nearby, but you get used to it quickly, and they don’t run at night anyway. Overall, the hotel is perfect as a base for exploring the region — Palanok Castle is about 15 minutes drive, and thermal springs are even closer.
Wi-Fi works reliably throughout the property, there’s a small spa center (sauna for sure, massage can also be arranged). The price-quality ratio is very reasonable for this level. Staff speaks Ukrainian, Hungarian, and English, which is convenient for foreign tourists. Overall, if you’re planning a vacation in Transcarpathia without particular luxury demands, but wanting comfort and local flavor — VitaPark Carpaty is an excellent choice. We’re already planning to return in autumn when the mountains turn golden.
