Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the Supernova apartment when I first walked up Chałubińskiego Street – I mean, it’s right in the thick of things in Zakopane, and you know how touristy that area can get. But stepping inside completely changed my perspective. The place has this unexpectedly modern vibe that somehow doesn’t clash with the mountain town atmosphere outside your windows.
What I really appreciated was how the owners actually understand what travelers need. The apartment feels like someone’s carefully curated home rather than a sterile rental – there’s proper kitchen equipment (not those sad hotel coffee makers), decent Wi-Fi that actually works when you need to upload those Tatra Mountain photos, and the kind of comfortable seating where you can genuinely relax after a day of hiking. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be walking distance from everything without being right on top of the main tourist chaos. You’re close enough to stroll to Krupówki Street for dinner, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the late-night crowds stumbling past your window. I could hear some street activity during the day, but nothing that kept me awake – and trust me, I’m sensitive to noise.
The building itself is well-maintained, which isn’t always a given in this part of town, and parking was surprisingly manageable. During my stay in early fall, I noticed the apartment gets great natural light in the mornings, and there’s something really satisfying about having your coffee while looking out at the mountains instead of another building. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-juggling you sometimes get with apartment rentals. What really sold me on recommending this place is that it strikes that sweet spot between being comfortable enough for a proper rest and authentic enough that you feel like you’re actually experiencing Zakopane, not just sleeping in it. The 9-point rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises and then some.
