The apartment itself has that comfortable, lived-in feeling — I mean, it’s clearly a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy, but everything works and it’s genuinely clean. The kitchen actually has proper pots and pans (not those flimsy things you usually get in rental apartments), and there’s enough space to spread out after a day of hiking in the Tatras. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night — you’re far enough from the main drag that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM, but close enough that you can walk to the good restaurants in about 15 minutes. The parking situation is way better than most places in Zakopane too, which anyone who’s driven here in summer will tell you is a genuine blessing.

Here’s the thing that surprised me most: the owners clearly know their stuff about what travelers actually need. There are proper blackout curtains (trust me, those summer sunrises come early), decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and — this is oddly specific but important — the shower has actual water pressure. I’ve stayed in fancier places in Zakopane where the shower was basically a gentle mist. The whole setup feels like someone’s comfortable home rather than a sterile hotel room, which honestly makes those mountain views from the windows even better. You can see Giewont peak on clear days, and in the mornings there’s often this low mist that hangs over the valley — it’s the kind of thing that makes you want to drink your coffee slowly instead of rushing out to start sightseeing. The 9-star rating makes total sense when you consider that this place delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and in Zakopane’s sometimes hit-or-miss accommodation scene, that’s actually pretty remarkable.
