Just returned from VIP котедж Рокита in Участок Країще near Mykulychyn — and it was truly a pleasant getaway in the Carpathians! This three-star cottage is located slightly off the main tourist routes, making it perfect for those wanting to escape the city hustle. The owners are very welcoming people — they met us personally and showed us everything we needed to know. Parking is right next to the cottage (very convenient, especially when you’re carrying lots of gear for a mountain vacation), and the house itself looks like a genuine Carpathian homestead with modern amenities inside.
Inside, everything is thoughtfully designed for comfortable stays — there’s a full kitchen (we cooked our own breakfasts, bought local products in Mykulychyn), comfortable beds, and a nice living room with a fireplace. I especially loved the terrace — sitting there in the morning with coffee, looking at the mountains, it’s something incredible! Wi-Fi works reliably (for those who can’t completely disconnect from work), hot water is always available. The only thing — in autumn it can get a bit chilly, so better bring warm clothes. In winter it must be absolutely magical with snow all around.
The nearest attractions aren’t too far — Huk waterfall is a half-hour drive, and Mykulychyn center is about 10-15 minutes by car. The hosts recommended several local hiking trails, which was very helpful. For the money we paid, the price-quality ratio is excellent. We’ll definitely return here again, maybe in summer — curious to see how it looks during the warm season!
