Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “VIP APARTAMENTY VILLA GÓRSKIE KLIMATY,” I thought it was going to be one of those places that tries way too hard. But actually walking up to this spot on Pilsudskiego Street? It totally won me over. The location is basically perfect if you know Zakopane at all – you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Krupówki (that’s the main pedestrian strip where all the action happens), but you’re just far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing Polish folk songs at 2 AM. Trust me on this one.

The apartments themselves have this really nice mountain lodge vibe without feeling overly kitschy, you know? I mean, yeah, there’s definitely some highland-style decor going on – carved wooden furniture, those traditional geometric patterns – but it feels authentic rather than like someone just went crazy at a tourist shop. The kitchenettes are actually functional too, which honestly surprised me since a lot of three-star places just throw in a mini-fridge and call it a day. Here you can actually cook a proper meal, and given how expensive restaurants get during peak season (especially around New Year’s when everyone’s here for the skiing), that’s not nothing. The Wi-Fi works well throughout the building – I was working from the apartment for a few days and never had issues, even during video calls.

What really sealed the deal for me was the little details that show someone actually cares about this place. The woman at check-in knew exactly which bus routes go where (super helpful since Zakopane’s public transport can be confusing), and she mentioned that the grocery store on the corner stays open until 10 PM – small thing, but incredibly useful when you realize you need breakfast supplies. Parking isn’t a given in this part of town, but they’ve got spots available, which… honestly, if you’ve ever tried to find parking near Krupówki during summer, you’ll understand why that’s huge. The only minor complaint I’d have is that the walls aren’t super thick – I could occasionally hear my neighbors, though it wasn’t anything terrible. Just something to keep in mind if you’re a really light sleeper. But for the price point and that rating of 8 out of 10? It totally makes sense. You’re getting a proper apartment with mountain character, walking distance to everything that matters in Zakopane, and you’re not paying resort prices for the privilege.
