You’re right there on Balzera street, which – if you know Zakopane at all – puts you in this sweet spot where you can actually walk to the main drag without being stuck in all the tourist chaos. I mean, you can hear the energy from Krupówki street when things get lively, but you’re not dealing with drunk groups stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The Nosal ski area is literally right there too, which is perfect if you’re here for winter sports, but even in summer, those mountain views from the apartments are something else. You know what I love? In the morning, you can see the cable car starting up and watch the early hikers heading up the trails before the crowds hit.

What really sold me on this place though is how they’ve set up these apartments – they feel like actual homes, not hotel rooms with a mini-fridge thrown in the corner. The kitchens are properly equipped (I actually cooked dinner a couple nights, which saved me from another pierogi overdose), and there’s enough space to spread out your gear if you’re here for skiing or hiking. The staff gets it too – they’re locals who know the area, so when I asked about the best time to hit the morning trails to avoid crowds, they gave me specific times and routes that only someone who lives here would know. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare like some places in Zakopane, and the building itself is quiet enough that you can actually sleep, which – trust me – isn’t always guaranteed in this town.

Here’s the thing that really sets VIP Apartamenty apart: it’s got that rare combination of being close enough to everything that matters while still feeling like you’ve got your own space. The Tatra views from the higher floors are genuinely stunning, especially at sunset when the light hits those peaks just right. And honestly, for the price point, you’re getting way more value than those overpriced hotels closer to the main square. The only minor thing I’d mention is that some of the apartments face the street, so if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe request something facing the mountain side. But even then, it’s Zakopane – not exactly downtown Warsaw in terms of traffic noise.
