Villa Svalyavа became a real discovery for me during my trip through Transcarpathia — a three-star villa that turned out to be much cozier than I expected. Located on Bokshaya Street 19, right in the heart of Svalyava, it amazingly combines a homey atmosphere with professional service. Check-in went smoothly (I arrived around four in the afternoon), staff immediately offered help with luggage and told me about local attractions. Parking right at the hotel is a huge advantage, especially if you’re driving your own car through the mountain serpentines.
The room turned out to be more spacious than expected, with a wonderful view of the city surroundings and mountains in the distance. The furniture isn’t brand new, but everything is clean and functional — there’s everything needed for a comfortable stay. I especially liked the bathroom with a nice shower (water was always hot, even in the evenings). Breakfast is served in a small restaurant on the first floor — home-style cuisine with local dishes worth trying. Street noise is practically inaudible, although the windows face the fairly busy Bokshaya Street.
What I remember most is Villa Svalyavа’s location relative to the local thermal springs and landmarks. It’s about a five-minute leisurely walk to Svalyava’s center, with several cafes and small shops nearby. The 8.0 rating is well-deserved — for this money, it’s an excellent price-to-quality ratio. The hotel is especially suitable for those seeking a peaceful getaway without unnecessary hustle, but with easy access to all local attractions. I’ll definitely return here next time — perhaps in autumn, when the leaves in the mountains change colors.
