Villa Sicilia turned out to be a pleasant discovery during our Carpathian trip — a three-star hotel that doesn’t pretend to be luxurious but does its job wonderfully. Located on Ivan Franko Street, the villa sits in a quiet area of Yaremche, yet close enough to the center (7-10 minutes walk to main attractions). Parking is free — a big plus, especially in summer when there are lots of tourists. Check-in is quick, staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English.
Rooms are quite spacious for this category, with nice mountain views (if you’re lucky with a room on the right side). Furniture is a bit dated, but everything is clean and functional. Wi-Fi works fine, hot water is constant — for me that’s the main thing after a full day of hiking. Breakfasts are decent, though the selection is limited: traditional dishes, fresh bread, local honey. Soundproofing is average — if you’re sensitive to noise, bring earplugs (especially in summer when windows are open).
What I really liked is the location for active vacation. It’s a 15-minute walk to Probiy waterfall, about an hour’s drive to Bukovel ski lift. The hosts give good advice about routes and can help with transfers. In winter it’s quieter and more atmospheric, in summer there’s more life but also more people. For the money, Villa Sicilia is a solid choice, especially if you plan to spend more time in nature than in your room.
