Вілла Северин

Вілла Северин turned out to be a real gem during my trip to Skhidnitsa last summer. This three-star hotel is located right on Shevchenko Street, which is very convenient — it’s literally a five-minute walk to the resort center, and the mineral water pump room is just a stone’s throw away. Parking is free, though spaces aren’t always available (better to arrive before 6 PM). Check-in went smoothly, the staff is friendly, though they don’t really speak English — but who goes to Skhidnitsa for English, right?

The rooms are quite spacious, the furniture is a bit old, but everything is clean and tidy. From the second-floor window, there’s a decent mountain view — especially beautiful in the morning when the fog hasn’t lifted yet. Wi-Fi works reliably (I tested it even during rain), which is important for those who can’t completely disconnect from work. In the bathroom, hot water is constant with good pressure. The only thing — the walls are quite thin, so if neighbors are noisy, it can be uncomfortable. But overall the atmosphere is peaceful, most guests come for treatment and go to bed early.

Breakfast is served in a small dining room on the first floor — nothing fancy, but tasty and filling. Homemade cottage cheese pancakes, porridge, tea with local herbs. The owners are very happy to advise where to go for a walk or where to try real Hutsul cuisine (by the way, the restaurant “Under the Oak” 200 meters away is great!). The overall rating of 8 out of 10 is well deserved. For this money in Skhidnitsa, it’s hard to find anything better — especially considering the location and the owners’ attitude. I’ll definitely come back here in autumn, they say it’s incredibly beautiful in October.
