Вілла Річка became a real discovery for me during my last trip to the Carpathians. This four-star hotel is located in Urochyshe Lazy, and while the address might seem a bit unusual, it’s actually a wonderful place for those seeking peace away from city hustle. The road to the hotel is quite winding (GPS sometimes “works wonders”), but it’s worth being patient — the views compensate for all inconveniences. Parking is free, which was a pleasant surprise, especially after Kyiv where you have to pay for every square meter.
What I particularly liked was the authentic atmosphere. The rooms aren’t luxurious, but they’re cozy and clean, with nice forest views. The staff is very friendly, though not everyone speaks English (but this rather adds to the local charm). Check-in went smoothly around 2:00 PM, and they even gave me a slightly better room than I booked. Breakfasts are homemade and hearty — definitely try the local cheeses and honey. The only downside — Wi-Fi doesn’t work everywhere, but honestly, it’s even beneficial — finally you can disconnect from online.
The hotel operates year-round, but it’s best here in autumn and summer. In winter it can be a bit chilly in the corridors, and in spring the roads get washed out by rains. If you’re traveling with children, bring warm clothes — evenings in the mountains are always fresh. Overall, for the price-quality ratio, this is an excellent option for those who value nature and quiet more than marble halls and tuxedo-clad concierges.
To book a hotel in the Carpathians during the popular ski season in Bukovel, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the region attracts mountain landscape enthusiasts and active recreation lovers from across the country.
