HOTEL OVERVIEW

You know what struck me first about Villa Nosal? It’s tucked away on Balzera Street in this quiet residential pocket of Zakopane that most tourists never find – which is honestly part of its charm. I mean, you’re still close enough to hear the distant buzz from Krupówki when the evening crowd gets going, but here you actually get to sleep at night. The villa itself has this traditional highland character that doesn’t feel forced or touristy, just… authentic, I guess. The wooden details and mountain stone work remind you you’re in the Tatras without beating you over the head with it.

What really impressed me was how the owners – and I think they actually live on-site – seem to get what travelers need without making a big deal about it. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place, nothing fancy but everything works properly. Actually, the beds are surprisingly comfortable, and there’s this mountain view from most windows that’s particularly gorgeous in the morning when the light hits Giewont just right. The breakfast room overlooks their little garden area, and honestly, sitting there with coffee while planning your hiking route feels pretty perfect. Speaking of hiking – they’ve got proper drying areas for gear, which tells you they understand their guests aren’t just here for the spa treatments in town.

The location is sort of brilliant once you figure it out. Sure, you’ll walk about 10 minutes to get to the main Krupówki strip, but that means you can actually find parking (which, trust me, is gold in Zakopane during peak season). Plus you’re positioned really well for hitting the trails – the path up to Gubałówka is practically around the corner, and if you’re planning to tackle any serious Tatra peaks, you’re not fighting through town traffic to get to the trailheads. I stayed there in September when the crowds were thinning but the weather was still decent for hiking, and the whole area had this peaceful, end-of-summer vibe. The staff gave me solid advice about trail conditions too – not just generic tourist info, but actual current details about which routes were worth doing. That 9-rating they’ve got makes total sense when you add it all up. Villa Nosal isn’t trying to be some luxury resort, but it nails what it is: a comfortable, well-run place where you can base yourself for exploring the mountains without the tourist circus driving you crazy.

I loved staying here! I stayed for four nights. The location is great, it's about a 25 minute walk into the main part of town or the bus stop is very close. The rooms were lovely with doors out into the garden. The view of the mountains from the back garden is beautiful and on a sunny day a beautiful spot to sit. The breakfast is exceptional, everyday the lovely ladies had something different cooked and made coffee to order. Everyone was so kind and made me feel so welcome. There is a little supermarket a few doors down so everything felt very nice and convenient.
