Villa Kameliya turned out to be a real find during my recent vacation in Truskavets. This four-star hotel is located at 9 Shashkevicha Street, which is very convenient — about a ten-minute walk to the city center, and the mineral water pump room is practically next door. Free parking right at the hotel (which isn’t always a given in Truskavets), so there were no issues with the car. The reception staff is very friendly, they even checked me in a bit earlier than scheduled when I arrived at 1:30 PM.
The rooms at Villa Kameliya are quite cozy, though not particularly large — but for a resort town that’s normal. I had a standard double room on the second floor, with windows facing the quiet inner courtyard. This turned out to be a plus, because the hotel is located on a fairly busy street, so nothing disturbed my sleep at night. The bathroom is clean, with hot water without interruptions (which is important after a full day of walking in the park). Wi-Fi works stably, you can even watch movies. There’s air conditioning, but I didn’t need it in autumn — natural ventilation was quite sufficient.
Breakfast is served in a small restaurant on the ground floor — nothing special, but you won’t leave hungry. Classic continental breakfast plus several Ukrainian dishes. The coffee is decent, though I still went more often to the café across the street — the atmosphere there is more interesting. Overall, Villa Kameliya satisfied me in terms of price-quality ratio. The hotel doesn’t pretend to be luxurious, but everything necessary for a comfortable stay is there, and the location is really good for those who come for treatment or just to stroll around the old town.
