Villa Alpiyka is a real gem in Selo Volosyanka that I discovered last winter during a ski trip to Slavske. This cozy four-star hotel is located slightly off the main road, which makes it particularly quiet and peaceful. The owners are very hospitable — they greeted us with hot tea and homemade cookies, and during check-in told us about the best ski routes. Parking is free and quite spacious, which is important if you’re arriving by car (especially in winter when you need space to dry skis and boots).
The rooms at Villa Alpiyka are decorated in mountain style with wooden furniture and warm colors — nothing too fancy, but very comfortable and clean. Our room had a wonderful mountain view, though I should note that rooms facing the courtyard are a bit quieter. Breakfasts here are homemade and hearty: porridge, cheese pancakes, fresh pastries, and local sausages. The owners can also arrange dinner by prior arrangement — we tried borscht and dumplings that turned out to be incredibly delicious. WiFi works stably, which was a pleasant surprise for such a remote location.
The hotel’s location is perfect for active vacation lovers: you can reach Slavske’s main ski lifts in 10-15 minutes by car, and in summer it’s convenient to start hiking trips into the Carpathians from here. Selo Volosyanka itself is very picturesque, especially in the morning when fog hangs over the mountains. The only downside is the slightly narrow road to the hotel, but local drivers are used to it and always let tourists pass. For this price and quality of service, I’ll definitely return here again, especially in autumn when the mountains are covered in golden colors.
