Вікенд is a four-star hotel in the center of Yaremche that really lives up to its name. When I arrived here last spring, I immediately understood why this place is so popular among tourists. Located on Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street, the hotel is literally just a few minutes’ walk from the city’s main attractions — Probiy Waterfall and the famous souvenir market. Parking here is free, which is a real rarity in Yaremche, especially during the season. The reception staff is very friendly and always ready to recommend the best hiking routes in the Carpathians.
The rooms at Hotel Вікенд are quite spacious and comfortable, though the design is a bit old-fashioned — but this even adds some special Hutsul charm. I had a room on the second floor with a mountain view, and the scenery in the morning is simply breathtaking. Wi-Fi works stably, which is important if you need to stay connected. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the first floor — nothing extraordinary, but a solid buffet with local dishes. I especially liked the potato pancakes with sour cream and homemade sausages. The only thing that might be somewhat disturbing is the road noise in the morning, but if you close the windows, everything is fine.
Overall, the hotel left very positive impressions, especially considering the price-quality ratio. I understand why its rating stays at 8.0 — it’s really a great place to relax in the Carpathians. If you’re planning an active vacation with hiking and excursions, Вікенд will be an excellent base. In winter, it’s probably even cozier — there are many ski slopes around, and it’s convenient to get to the lifts from the hotel. I recommend booking in advance, especially for weekends and holidays.
