Vienna House in Yaremche turned out to be a pleasant find during our Carpathian trip. This three-star hotel sits right on Svobody Street — the main artery of the town, so it’s literally just a few minutes’ walk to the center. There’s parking available, but in summer it’s better to arrive earlier since spaces can run out (especially on weekends). The staff is friendly and ready to suggest hiking routes — we actually learned about a less popular trail to the waterfall here that turned out to be much quieter than the main tourist path.
The rooms are quite spacious, with nice mountain views (if you’re lucky enough to get the right side of the building). WiFi works reliably, which is important if you need to stay connected. Breakfast is standard Continental, but everything’s fresh and tasty, especially the local cheeses and homemade jams. The only thing to keep in mind — the hotel is located on a fairly busy street, so if you’re a light sleeper, it’s better to ask for a room on the opposite side or bring earplugs. In winter it’s probably very cozy here — there’s a fireplace in the lobby, and it’s not far to the ski lifts. Overall, for the money in Yaremche, this is a solid choice, especially if you plan to spend more time outdoors than in your room.
Travelers should book a hotel in Bukovel at least two months ahead for major events such as ski competitions and mountain festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular mountain attractions.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
