Відпочинок в Карпатах

Just got back from Відпочинок в Карпатах and I have to say — this is a real gem for those looking for an authentic mountain getaway without unnecessary fuss. This three-star hotel is located in the village of Nyzhniy Studenyy in Міжгірський район, and if you’re driving, GPS might get a bit confused on the last few kilometers — better call ahead for exact directions. Parking is free, which is nice, but there aren’t that many spots, so it’s better to arrive before evening.

The rooms are quite simple, but clean and cozy — nothing fancy, but everything you need is there. The view from the window of the mountains is just incredible, especially in the morning when the fog slowly rises from the peaks. Hot water is constant (I checked!), heating works well, which is important during cool evenings. The staff is very friendly — the hosts are locals themselves, so they can recommend the best hiking routes and tell you where to buy real mountain honey. Wi-Fi works in the lobby, a bit weak in the rooms, but honestly, that’s even better — finally you can disconnect from everything.

Breakfasts are homemade and tasty, though the selection isn’t huge — porridge, scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, fresh bread and fragrant tea made from mountain herbs. If you come in winter, definitely bring warm clothes — these are the real Carpathians with their changeable weather. Summer is wonderful for family holidays, plenty of space for kids, you can pick berries in the forest. By the way, mobile service here doesn’t always work stably, but this creates a special atmosphere of being disconnected from city hustle. For the money — excellent value for the price.
