Veronika turned out to be a real find during our trip to the Carpathians! This three-star hotel is located right on Kurortna Street in Polyana, which is very convenient — it’s literally a 5-minute walk to the ski lift. Check-in went smoothly (though reception doesn’t work around the clock, so it’s better to give advance notice about late arrival). There is parking, but spots are limited, especially during peak season — we arrived in the morning and managed to grab a spot near the entrance.
The rooms are quite cozy, though I wouldn’t say there’s too much space. Hot water was always available, heating worked well (this is important in winter in the mountains!). The window offers a decent view of the slopes, especially if you’re lucky with a room on the right side. The staff is friendly and ready to suggest where it’s best to ski or where to eat well in Polyana — locals know all the best spots. Wi-Fi works fine, though sometimes it slows down a bit during evening hours.
Breakfasts are simple but filling — porridge, scrambled eggs, sausage, tea and coffee, everything you need to start the day on the slopes. The hotel clearly doesn’t pretend to be luxurious, but for its price it provides everything necessary. The only downside — walls aren’t very thick, so if neighbors are noisy, you can hear them (bring earplugs). Overall we were satisfied — good value for money for a mountain resort, and we’d return here again.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
