Usadba Okhotnichiy Dvor is a real find for those seeking peaceful relaxation away from city hustle. Located in the small village of Yabluniv, this three-star hotel feels more like a cozy family estate than a regular hotel. When we arrived in autumn, the hosts greeted us personally — you immediately feel the homey atmosphere. Parking is free right next to the building (that’s a big plus, since it’s not always so easy in the Carpathians), and check-in went smoothly even though we arrived a bit earlier than official time.
The rooms are quite spacious and clean, with wooden furniture in traditional style — nothing too fancy, but everything necessary is there. Windows face the forest, and in the morning you wake up to birdsong instead of traffic noise. Wi-Fi works reliably (we checked since we needed to do some work), hot water is constant. The only downside — walls are a bit thin, so if neighbors are noisy, you might hear them. But generally the hotel is quiet, especially in the evenings.
Breakfast is served in the common hall with large windows — delicious homemade dishes, lots of local products. The hosts happily tell you about interesting places in the area and can organize excursions. The nearest mountain trails are 10-15 minutes on foot, and downtown Yabluniv is about five minutes by car. We were satisfied with the price-quality ratio, especially considering this is the Carpathians where hotels are often expensive. We’d come back here again, especially in spring or summer — I can imagine how beautiful it must be when everything is green.
