Honestly, when I first saw the name “Księżycowe Apartamenty SPA,” I thought it might be one of those overly fancy places that’s all style and no substance. But this two-bedroom spot on Oberconiówka actually delivers on what matters most – those mountain views are absolutely spectacular, and the terrace makes you want to skip whatever hiking plans you had and just sit there with your coffee all morning.

The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile, you know? The kitchen actually has decent knives and enough plates for a real meal (I mean, after a day tramping around the Tatras, sometimes you just want to cook something substantial rather than hunt for restaurants). What really got me though was stepping out onto that terrace in the early morning – the mist hanging around the peaks, the sound of cowbells drifting up from somewhere below, and honestly zero noise from other guests or traffic. It’s one of those moments where you remember why you traveled in the first place. The SPA part isn’t some massive complex, but there’s enough to unwind properly after hiking, and the water pressure in the shower is surprisingly good for this part of town.

Location-wise, you’re far enough from the Krupówki chaos to actually sleep well, but close enough that you can walk down when you want pierogi or to grab supplies. Parking was straightforward – which, if you’ve driven through Zakopane in summer, you’ll appreciate more than the mountain views. The hosts seem to actually know the area too; they pointed me toward a trail I never would have found otherwise, one that gets you incredible photos without the tourist crowds. I’d say the place hits that sweet spot where it feels authentically Polish mountain rather than international hotel generic, but with the comfort level where you’re not roughing it. Worth booking early though – at a 9 rating, it fills up fast during peak season.
