Two Bedroom Apartment with Terrace- Tatra View – Księżycowe Apartamenty SPA – 24i
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place – the name alone is a mouthful – but Two Bedroom Apartment with Terrace at Księżycowe Apartamenty SPA ended up being one of those pleasant surprises that makes you want to book extra nights. The location on Oberconiówka is actually perfect if you know Zakopane at all; you’re tucked away from the tourist chaos on Krupówki but still close enough to walk down for dinner without calling a taxi. What really got me was stepping onto that terrace the first morning – I mean, the Tatra views are absolutely ridiculous. You know how sometimes “mountain view” means you can see a tiny peak if you crane your neck? Not here. The whole range just spreads out in front of you like someone hung a massive painting, and honestly, I spent way too much time out there with my coffee just staring.
The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, not like those sterile hotel rooms where everything’s bolted down. The two bedrooms are properly sized (you can actually open your suitcase without blocking the door), and the kitchen has real equipment – I’m talking decent knives, not those useless hotel butter spreaders. The spa facilities are a nice touch too, especially after you’ve been hiking around Morskie Oko or dealing with the crowds at Gubałówka. I’ll be honest though, the check-in process was a bit confusing at first since it’s apartment-style rather than traditional hotel, but once you figure out the system it’s actually more convenient. Parking can get tight during peak season – summer and ski season both – so I’d recommend asking about that when you book.
What really sold me on this place is how quiet it gets at night, which you don’t always find in Zakopane. You’re far enough from the main strip that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling back from the highlander bars at 2 AM, but close enough that you can easily walk to places like Karczma Po Zbóju for dinner. The terrace becomes this perfect spot for evening drinks – we grabbed some local beer from the Żabka down the street and just watched the mountains change colors as the sun set. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time at the accommodation instead of just crashing there between activities. For a 4-star spot with an 8 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any nasty surprises.
