That local knowledge makes a difference. The building itself is quiet, mostly locals living there permanently, so you get a real sense of what it’s like to live in Zakopane rather than just being in tourist bubble-land. From the apartment, you can walk to the cable car station in about fifteen minutes, hit the thermal baths at Aqua Park in ten, or just wander down to the market square where all the highland cheese vendors set up. The mountain views aren’t spectacular from the windows – you’ll need to step outside for those Instagram shots – but you can catch glimpses of the Tatras between buildings. It’s a solid 3-star place that punches above its weight because of where it sits and how it’s managed. Perfect for couples or small families who want their own space but don’t need luxury touches.
