Tavel Hotel & SPA turned out to be a pleasant discovery in Polyanytsya Village — we came here for a ski week and were very satisfied. This is a four-star hotel that really maintains its standards: rooms are spacious and clean, and the windows offer wonderful mountain views (if you’re lucky with the location). The staff is friendly and always ready to help — at reception they speak Ukrainian, English, and Russian. Check-in went smoothly, even though we arrived a bit earlier than standard time.
The SPA area became a real lifesaver for us after long days on Bukovel’s slopes. The pool is small but the water is warm, and the sauna operates until late evening. The massage is quite good too, though it’s better to book in advance — spots get taken quickly. The restaurant cooks well, we especially liked the meat dishes and homemade desserts, but prices are a bit steep (like everywhere in Bukovel). Breakfasts are diverse — there are both traditional Ukrainian dishes and European classics.
Parking is free, which is important because the place is quite popular even in off-season. It’s a 10-15 minute drive to the lifts or you can use the hotel’s transfer service (paid but convenient). In winter the road can be slippery, so it’s better to have winter tires. WiFi works stably throughout the hotel, which was great — we could share photos from the mountains in real time. The only downside — sometimes you can hear music from the restaurant, but that’s more a feature of a mountain hotel than a serious problem. Overall, I recommend it for family vacations or romantic getaways.
