I found myself looking forward to the scrambled eggs and those thick slices of local bread with mountain honey.

The real test came during my second night when it started snowing heavily – you know how mountain weather can turn on a dime. While other hotels were dealing with heating issues (I could hear the complaints from fellow hikers the next day), our room stayed consistently warm.
