You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Krupówki (that’s Zakopane’s main pedestrian strip for anyone who hasn’t been), but here’s the thing – you’re just far enough away that you don’t get all the late-night noise from tourists stumbling back from the bars. I mean, Sabały street itself is pretty quiet, mostly residential, which means you can actually sleep without earplugs. The apartment setup works well too – it’s not fancy, but everything functions properly, and honestly, that’s half the battle with vacation rentals. The kitchenette is small but functional (I managed to make decent scrambled eggs), and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which… well, if you’ve stayed in enough mountain towns, you know that’s not always a given.

What I really appreciated was how the place feels more like staying in someone’s actual apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. The furniture’s a bit mismatched – sort of that Eastern European practical aesthetic – but it’s comfortable enough, and the beds are surprisingly decent. There’s this little balcony where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the locals heading to work, which I found oddly relaxing. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to Zakopane), but there’s usually street parking available if you’re not picky about walking a block or two. The check-in was smooth enough – the host speaks decent English, which helps, and they’re pretty responsive on WhatsApp if something comes up. I had a minor issue with the WiFi on day two, and they sorted it out within a couple hours, so no complaints there. The rating of 8 feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises without any major headaches. For the price point, especially during peak season when everything in Zakopane gets ridiculously expensive, it’s actually solid value. You’re getting a proper apartment experience in a good location without paying resort prices, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
